If you want to turn on your Xbox 360 console without pressing the down the power button on the front of the console, you can power it on with a controller instead. If you want to power on your Xbox 360 console using your controller, follow the instructions below:
Your Xbox 360 power supply adapter must be connected into a live electrical outlet and connected to your console, for this method to work.
1)Make sure your controller has 2 AA batteries that have battery charge, if it is a wireless controller.
Make sure your controller is has the usb cabled plugged into a spare usb port on the Xbox console, if the control you are using a wired type.
2)Then look on the Xbox 360 controller for the "Guide" button, you will see a circular shape button placed in the middle of the controller, with a "X" shape printed onto it, that lights up green when your power on the controller.
3)Once you have found that button, hold it down for 3 seconds, the Xbox 360 controller will power and the console will power automatically on.
